For those with an iPhone X--if you push the volume up and down buttons at the same time right after unlocking your phone, does the volume button seem to get stuck and result in your volume level automatically going all the way up or down? Or if you open the camera from the lock screen and then do the same thing, do you end up with a long burst of shots?

This is especially bad for me with the Apple leather case, since it's very easy to press both given how prominent the buttons are. I nearly blew my eardrums out when I had headphones in on one occasion, and ended up taking a burst of 80+ photos when I opened the camera on another occasion. I was able to reproduce this issue with multiple iPhone X on display at the Apple Store, so I don't think it's a problem with my particular device.

Mine does not. Another forum member exchanged theirs for a similar problem with the Volume buttons sticking, which wasn't doing it with the replacement device.

Hope you’re kidding. Button mechanics are not software driven.
Its the software that makes the buttons work buddy.

Back when I used to jailbreak, I programmed the volume up button to take screenshots. Pretty sure thats software.

The buttons don't seem to be physically sticking. Suspecting this is software because it only happens the first time you press both volume buttons after unlocking. Subsequent attempts in the same session don't exhibit the issue, but locking / unlocking the phone will cause it to happen again immediately.

This was reproducible with all the iPhone X units I tried at the Apple Store, but not an iPhone 8 unit.

mine happens every time I press both volume buttons. I think it's hardware issue

It’s a software bug for 100% sure. Reproducible on my wife’s iPhone X and mine, and as stated it only does it the FIRST time you press the volume up/down buttons simultaneously after unlocking.

Why anyone would think this is a hardware issue is waaaaay beyond me.
