I don't see what's childish about my answer because it's true. Apple was really behind until the iPhone X. I'm applauding Apple for finaly bringing a phone that not uses old technology.

iPhone 8 -- most evolved iPhone at this time. No irritatingly oversaturated oled. Non-mechanical home button. Love the top & bottom bezels, touch id works great. Blisteringly fast processor. Small enough to fit in most any pocket. Hope to make mine last a long time.

Couldn’t agree more... Siri is light years behind in terms of AI... i feel like AI is the future. If Google could catch up to Apple in terms of syncing, and platforms/devices (with choices) I’d be all over that. I tried to go windows and android recently as a grad student... it felt like a chaotic mess... so tired of premium pricing on Apple products, but it’s what works for now.

Taptic feedback since the iPhone 7, I think.

That's a first. Thought the general consensus was that they're dated & a waste of space.

There's mechanical button underneath the touch ID.

No, there's not. Since the 7/7+, it's a capacitive sensor with a taptic motor underneath that simulates the click of a mechanical button. Try clicking an iPhone 7 or 8 with it powered off and the home button doesn't 'move'.

Oversaturated OLED? Have you compared the 8 screen to the X? They look exactly the same only the X has way more brightness and deeper blacks.

That’s right - taptic engine creates illusion of mechanical.

    I have & that’s what I see.

I’m accustomed to a calibrated led display connected to my mac pro which makes oled screens look over saturated imho. iPhone 8 screens have been hihly rated as extremely accurate in color repro.

Is it kind of like a reality distortion button?

I just speed read through the comments on this page after shoveling several inches of snow off the family trucks. In March, day 3 of spring. In the south/Mid-Atlantic region. While a freaking robin sang in the tree branch above me and then just missed pooping on my head. I don't think my life could feel any weirder right now.

Here are some of the little devils. I’m sure they’re not very happy. Taken with an S9+ on the 2x setting and digitally zoomed further and cropped so this forum would accept the file. The quality under the circumstances is good.

Do you think all of the bezel devices will go away with this years release?

If Apple is smart they will keep the bezel versions, but production on them would be scaled down probably by 50%.

I actually want to give the the Plus model of the next X version a try. But the price they put on that might make it not worth it. Also, hopefully it's not going to be larger than the Note 8.

Currently using a Note 8 now.
    Had about 3 iphones previously.
The Note 8 size is a bit bothersome.
I will say this though, I miss Apple ease of use and some of things I use on the device.

However samsung offers the pen which I do not use much as all, and they pack some unique features (like always on display) and I swear I found and app on apple that was 3.99 but free om google play.

Between the watchs, not sure which 1 I like better.
