hello everyone, I just want to share my iPhone x issue and experience with Apple genius support.
So in November 3, I spent 6 hours to but the new exciting iPhone, when I first bought it Apple store staff was so kind, help my step by step to set it up.
The bad new came a little later.
After 2 days of using I noticed that the new phone battery draining like hell, and because I’m from country that doesn’t have apple stores I decide to come back to Apple store and ask for a replacement.
The phone purchased in Apple store at the forum shop in Vegas, I return to the store, tell them about my phone issues, the genius said you know what let’s not take risk and replace your phone, as happy I was about they’re wonderful support I found out that it all a lies, after 3 hours late the genius tell me that they don’t have service phone in stock to replace my, that was a lie because they checked earlier and said that they have a replacement .
Couple more days later I went to Apple store in shop center in Vegas, talked them about my phone issues and they replace it for me in a few minute, helped me with transferring the photos from the “old” phone to the new one.
I left Vegas to l.a to continue my vacation and found out that my ”double new” phone is getting hot, the screen doesn’t work like he should, so? I came back to Apple store this time at Glendale in Los Angeles, wait again for 3 hours to meet the expert, when I did meet her, she ran a diagnosic test and found out that there is something wrong with my screen, she decided to replace it for me, Shang happy with Apple store service, after 5 minutes and the “expert” let me know that all of my data gonna be erase, I asked her “please just give me the photo transfer cable for a few minute before you erase my “old” phone”, the answer was no! If you want me to replace your phone you got 2 options, erase all your stuff and say bye bye to your data, and second one was- go home, backup your data and come back in a few days. I explained that I coming back to my country and I don’t have the time to backup my phone, asked her again please just the photo transfer cable for a few minutes and this is it.
No! When I give you the new one the old one not belong to you anymore I can’t let you use the both because you don’t own both.
I preferred to lose my data and walk out with a working phone instead of coming back to my country with the bad screen phone.
Think twice before you buying the new iPhone x, 3 phones in 1 and a half week, vacation all spend for a stupid device ..
