soooo embarrassingly... I fell asleep the night of preorders after setting my alarm and plugging my phone into the charger.. but as it turned out.. my usb hub wasn’t plugged into the outlet so my phone died...

So I’m camping out this year.. I haven’t walked in without a preorder in years it seems..the last time was back when the 4 days and it literally took 15 hours to get my phone. Because they were doing 1 walk-in for every 10 preorders.. I was number 80 in line..

I know we aren’t at those days anymore. I believe the Apple store is opening at 8 on this Friday. Are they still only handling preorders at opening or will they be doing walkins at the same time? I have somewhere to be on that Friday and this helps.. I don’t want to camp out and not end up leaving till noon because of the walk-in preorders..
I am in Clifton NJ.. which isn’t to far from Manhattan. I’m usually in Orlando and I’m knowledgeable about locations and which one may get the most or is the slowest.. anyone up this way know the best location?
I can go across the bridge to grand central etc..or I can go to garden state plaza and willowbrook..

1. Yes, limited stock will be available for walk-in. Apple say "arrive early."
2. There are two separate lines - one for pre-order p/u, one for walk-in
3. Where Apple sends the most inventory is anyone's guess but I would assume they would ship stock proportional to the gross sales of each store. So it will all be relative. Store with lower volume probably will have shorter lines, but also less stock. Bigger stores more stock, longer lines. Hard to game the system here I think. I'd say pick the store with the most comfortable wait.
