All these rumors about the production delays, what's the truth? I'm such a fan of Apple but I'm losing faith. It's like they don't care like they used to. Stopping production to see what pre-orders are like? The release date and the pre-order are literally a week apart. That's not enough time to produce 60 million units to meet the demand. A lot of customers and shareholders will be turned off by this.

It's dangerous to believe analysts - they're going to accept preorders and ship phones as usual, and are using the extra month over the 8 to get production to where they feel is comfortable.

It will be well into summer before Apple can make 60 million X units. From what I understand production has stopped several times due to problems. I worry that people will not be happy if it has any bugs to work out after introduction. Apple may have bit off too much this time.

Email Tim Cook at Apple and ask him yourself. Otherwise anything else is just rumor and speculation.
