iPhone X with sturdy case vs GoPro

which is better for making travel videos? an iPhone X with a sturdy case or a GoPro? Id use a gimbal whichever option I go with.i already have an iPhone X so this is the cheapest option. But I don’t know how resistant to the weather and outdoors it would be with a good case compared to GoPro.

If battery life and possibly storage on your iphone are important to you then I'd suggest getting a gopro especially since prices are dropping on them

Really? So it doesn’t need a gimbal to film cinematic shots.

The hero 6 can get like 85% of the stability you can get with a gimbal if you intentionally are trying to get smooth shots. It’s not super buttery smooth like a gimbal but you can get really close if you use stabilization in post.

Recommend the GoPro Hero 6 for travel. Stabilization is really good without gimbal and more weather resistant than iPhone X. I have both and would go with Hero 6, otherwise I would need a Lifeproof case for my phone in severe weather.
