If u buy from Apple it's unlocked.

Verizon phones have come unlocked in the past without any interaction with Verizon. Sprint on the other hand makes the user call in to have them unlocked. However getting a phone one of either of them may be impossible unless you already have a phone plan. It is likely you will need to start a contract if you don't already have Verizon service.

Sometimes it's only available with postpaid accounts and probably won't be able to preorder anyway unless you already have a number with Verizon.

I have Sprint, but sucks where i live,so i wanna try ATT prepaid on iphone X,i wonder if works with prepaid, can you guide my to buy the right one for prepaid,i dont wanna make a mistake,i hate Sprint, what do you recoment to do,buy it on Oct 27 with any carrier or wait till comes unlock and which carrier do i buy, thanx

If you have Sprint, that's the only phone you can pre-order.

You can buy any phone, but generally prepaid accounts won't work with it.

Thats my understanding anyway.

When you buy over the IPhone Upgrade Program they ask for you phone company and check with them but I don’t think you’re obligated to the phone company. Don’t know if it would work for you though

Do Apple not sell the iPhone unlocked in the US? Here in the UK it’s unlocked on day 1, that’s what I always order unlocked Sim free iPhone, then when it arrives just put a SIM card in it and away I go.

Apple does sell iphone unlocked in the U.S. However this requires to be purchased at the Apple store at a full price or iUP. In the case of OP, he wants to get a model that would work on any carrier in the U.S. So in this case Verizon, Sprint and Sim-free would be the option. However there is no sim-free model available for the iPhone X.

So do you recomend to stay with Sprint,yo buy the iphone x with Sprint or wait to se if comes unlock the same day that goes live on Oct 27 maybe comes sim free, any help,i dont now what to do,stay with Sprint that sucks where i live o get any other carrier prepaid, any sugestions please.

You can't buy a Verizon phone if you are a Sprint customer.

Verizon is the only one can use GSM and CDMA,because is coming unlock from factory,im gonna way and see if comes sim free,so that way i can used with any carrier.

You are correct.

Not correct. Prepaid will work with any unlocked phone, regardless of where the phone was purchased, assuming the phone supports the bands that your carrier uses. If the case of the iPhone that’s not a problem.
Ive used prepaid sims from ATT and T-Mobile in phones that I originally had on a post paid plan and phones that I bought outright. No problem.

Apple requires you to enter a verifiable Verizon account to purchase on line. Even if paying full price.

Question? If you use someone's Verizon account to purchase can you just take sim out and insert new one without activating on Verizon or somehow attached to the account you used ?
