We know it’s coming and no official specs as of yet but there are a lot of credible mock devices out there (MKBHD/DetroitBorg).

Have there been any details shared in relation to width of the X+ in comparison to an 8+?

I love the current X form factor but would love a bigger screen without the huge width of the current Plus line if that’s even possible.

Attempting to decide whether to sell my X now or hold on.

Loved my Plus devices before the C came along but now they are too wide having used the X mostly and don’t want to go back to a very wide phone.

If you don't mind the width of the plus phone in your pocket, get a Loopy case. It makes holding the plus phone a lot easier than even holding a small phone. Check it out (also you'll never drop it).

Wait, you’re literally a month approximately from the keynote, and *then* make your determination. Selling your iPhone X now doesn’t prove anything, considering we don’t even know when specifically the 6.5 iPhone X might even launch accordingly and the detailed specifications.

Selling now would generate a higher price point coming back versus when the phones are announced and released. Granted it may be a marginal amount but historic data shows that once the new phones are announced price of current phones drop drastically.

Everything written has stated the size will be nearly identical to the current Plus models.

Yuck :(

So it’s you who wants this

I’m slightly confused, you’d like a bigger screen but not any wider…do you want an even taller narrower phone? Personally, I prefer a 16:9 screen ratio and a 5.5-6” screen phone with no bezels with this ratio (and dual SIM) would be perfect. I found the X to be too tall and it felt unbalanced when using one handed, which I usually do. This is partially why I went back to the 8.

I am ok with wider but not AS wide as the Plus line.

Its a personal preference and always felt the Plus line was way too wide and a beast to maneuver one handed if needed. I love the form factor of the X and ok with it being a tad wider but not Plus size wide.

everythingapplepro did a video with dummy units and it was the exact same size as the 8+ both in height and width

Thats also what I was thinking. Perfectly fine with me, being that I’m willing to make the trade off for having a larger display and bigger battery, those are two crucial features that I want out of the 6.5, everything else is a merely a bonus.

Yup, at least according so called leaked parts. Bold indicates dimension smaller than iPhone 8 Plus:
  • iPhone 8 measures: 138.4 mm by 67.3 mm by 7.3 mm
  • iPhone 8 Plus measures: 158.4 mm by 78.1 mm by 7.5 mm
  • iPhone X measures: 143.6 mm by 70.9 mm by 7.7 mm
  • Leaked iPhone X Plus measures: 157.5 mm by 77.4 mm by 7.7 mm
  • Leaked iPhone "9" measures: 150.9 mm by 75.7 mm by 8.3 mm
So all the new models are both narrower and less tall than iPhone 8 Plus, just a bit thicker.

This is I am ok with!

I wonder if there is a current Android phone with the X+ proposed specs to feel in the hand.

For all practical intent and purpose, X Plus is nearly the same size as 8 Plus. I doubt 0.02 to 0.04 inches difference in thickness, width, and length are noticeable by most people.
