I noticed that the support page for eSIM/Dual SIM support only mentions the iPhone XS models.

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209044

However, the tech spec page of the iPhone Xr also mentions that eSIM/Dual SIM is supported.

Can anyone clarify if the iPhone Xr models also support eSIM/Dual SIM.

Thanks.

The Xr will be the same, eSIM plus a SIM slot. The support pages are just not reflecting this fully (the intern making it is probably doing it real time after the keynote... :D)

I hope so. My mum lives in the US and uses both her Verizon line and her Canadian Fido line. She has two iPhones. It would be great if she could consolidate into a iPhone Xr and use Verizon with eSIM and put in her Fido sim as the secondary.

SIM Card

Thanks but that's not the issue. Most recent iPhones use nano-sims anyway. The conflicting info is in the tech support page which indicates that only iPhone XS supports the Dual SIM feature.
