Teddy told me that in Greek, "nostalgia" literally means "the pain from an old wound.

I agree I also feel nostalgic. I have an X but get drawn to these colors. They look almost plastic in a way which I like. I know of course they have back glass. Can’t wait see em in store.

That would be the repeated sinking feeling from the $900 you drop for the good feelings.

Never understood the color thing as I always put my phones in cases and it makes zero difference in use of the phone, but whatever works for ya. Apple marketing at its finest.

The white version is the first time a silver frame has been used with a black front bezel since the first iPhone.

Yes I'm really excited to get my XR too. It's nice the colors bring a nice change of spectrum. That nostalgia is strong, takes me back to when the Apple released the white iPhone 4.

Are you implying that the 4 through 6S didn't have a silver looking frame with black front?

Yes, the silver version of the iphone 4 through 8 all had white front bezels.

The white versions yes, but the ones with black bezels had essentially silver frames, only exception being the 5 and 5S

The iPhone, iPhone 4, and iPhone 4s all had silver frames, even on the ones with black glass. The iPhone 5 and later models had frames that corresponded with the glass colors.

I don’t know if the XR reminds me of something. So many design flaws of iPhones with misplaced cameras and ugly antenna bands cloud my memory.

Yeah, it's definitely been awhile. It'll be nice to see something different, and it looks like that's what the iPhone Xr is going to have a lot of, design-wise, which is nice.

My husband and I both loved the blue iPhone 5c, and we're excited to be able to get a blue iPhone again. If the rumored clear Apple cases are real and don't have the common problems of those cases, we'll be picking those up to go with the phone.

It's sad that people actually get affected by the look of a cell phone. The whole scene people made over the antenna's on the 6 was embarrassing

It's a $40 bumper in case you're not aware. So overpriced

Not as embarrassing as those ugly antenna bands on so many mirror selfies of beautiful people with beautiful hair and beautiful clothes in a nice room full of nice things, except for the horrible backside of an iPhone 6. Remember how Steve Jobs bragged about Apple computers looking better from the back than the others from the front? That wasn’t true for many years. Apple had to make severe compromises in design to cram everything into a small body. The XR is an outlier in that it is unusually beautiful for an iPhone. It almost doesn’t belong to the others.

I’d be excited if there was an Xr mini

    I loved the 5c!
...but alas the Xr is just too large for me.
