I have an issue I took my mom iPhone XR home I noticed the mute switch is loose.

I compared my xs max and mine also also loose is this normal behavior ?

What do you mean by loose? Is it wobbling around while the silent/ring option not changing? Or is it too easy to switch but no wobbling?

It’s fairly common knowledge to know that the mute switch doesn’t have the same tolerance on every iPhone, some of them have more side-to-side play and some of them are more tight. Every iPhone I have had has been slightly different with the mute switch, it’s likely a non-issue as long as it’s operable and not falling apart.

Besides that, no one really here can answer your question entirely, you have to have Apple inspect it.

When not on vibrate I can easily wobble it around.
