Are we going to see shipment delays for the iPhone Xr, will this iPhone be more in demand the iPhone Xs so could we be waiting 5-6 weeks until we receive this device when we order it

I know the rumors are that they diverted resources to ramp up XR production. How constrained supply will be is any ones guess at this point. I do think this phone is going to have a higher initial demand than the previous XS and XS Max because of the price. Better be up to order at midnight pacific time if you want one on launch day.

I don’t think there’ll be any issue with the X r. Most people who wanted to get the latest and greatest, have already either got their device or have pre ordered. The rest, typical X r customers, aren’t in a hurry anyway. Plus Tim Cook has really made the supply chain much efficient since the days when there used to be queue outside of apple store. Don’t worry.

I think there were a lot of people that wanted a new iPhone, but couldn't swallow the price of the XS or XS Max. I know in my circle there are many which that is he case and just about all of them are planning to get the XR. I think the demand will be much higher than the XS and XS Max, but the fact is neither one of us know one way or there other for sure. If I wanted one quickly, I'd order it ASAP! I think the assumption that those that want an XR are laxidaisy isn't accurate at all.

I Think it’s clearly evident the iPhone XR will be more in demand simply because of the price point, and the offering of six color options. The iPhone XS price point is not a Achiveable for some consumers or is not in everybody’s interest with the XS. Certain colors will be more prone to being limited than others. Specifically the Product Red I expect to be popular.

iPhone XR is a mass market iPhone, replacing both iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.

Obviously, iPhone XR is not for every would-be iPhone 9 or iPhone 9 Plus buyers. But given (1) the price point ($250 to $350 cheaper than XS and XS Max), (2) pant up demand for new form factor (iPhone 6 design is now 4 years old), and (3) seemingly less than blockbuster sales of XS and XS Max, it is not unreasonable to assume that many folks are saving up for iPhone XR.

Complicating the matter is the color. I suspect some colors will be highly sought after and sell out very quickly. And let's not forget that 128GB XR is only $50 more than the base 64GB model.

I don’t think we’ll see people mobbing Apple Stores for a non-flagship iPhone sold in yellow.

I agree to a degree. However I do believe the iPhone XR will have higher demand then the XS and Max. Consider the phones are aimed at a different end of the market. The weekend the XR comes out random iPhone customer walks into AT&T and they are looking at 3 different iPhone models all with a similar design. One is $1000 and has a 5.8” screen, one is $1100 and has a 6.5” screen then the other is $750 and has a 6.1”, but it’s smaller than there current iPhone 6s Plus... which does the average consumer choose?

However I do believe you’re correct as far as people rushing stores just to buy one on launch day, but over the course of that weekend and the next few weekends to come I believe it will be a different story...

One thing about this phone is there so many different variations so it is honestly gonna be tough for all colors in all storage capacities to be sold all all over the town you live in or whatnot... I believe this will be the best selling iPhone that was released this year, but I think it will be a slow burn.

I think you're right that it will be the go-to iPhone for previous non-Plus iPhone customers (and people who chose the 8 Plus over the X). I don't know why but I think this will be the go-to corporate iPhone for the next few years as well (now that I think of it all iPhones I have seen IT departments deploy were current-year base models - iPhone 5S, iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, all in base storage).

Product red is still available at 3:54am est. Probably supply is good or demand is less.

Xr won’t be sold out I bet.

Honestly I was expecting big demand of XR because it’s little cheaper than other new iPhones plus specs aren’t bad either and 6 color options. Maybe supply is enough will find out when financial report comes out.

Everything still showing delivery of 10/26. I’m kind of surprised honestly.

Haha well I flocked to get the yellow one right away and as others are saying, it's now sold out in some capacities here in the UK.
People are so judgmental.

I’m surprised red isn’t delayed yet. That seemed like the color everyone wanted.

We don’t know whether demand is lower than expected or Apple used the month to build up stock. Regardless, I hope stock remains good over the next week or so till reliable reviews come out.

I also can't believe that most models are still in stock for in store pick up next Friday
