Yes and now they have their own version of Face ID and copied the curved edges from Samsung. I guess they are tying to package together all the best aspects of other devices, adding in a few things of their own.
Didn’t stop google putting such a monstrosity on their phone with no tech in there...
Apple today announced the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR will be available to customers in additional countries and territories between Friday, October 26 and Friday, November 2.
Availability information:iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max pre-orders begin Friday, October 19 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time, with availability beginning Friday, October 26 at 8:00 a.m. local time, in Chile, Colombia, Malaysia, and Thailand.
iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will be available in South Korea and more than 10 additional countries on Friday, November 2.
iPhone XR will be available in Israel beginning Thursday, November 1.
iPhone XR will be available in Armenia, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Macau, Maldives, Myanmar, Ukraine, and Vietnam beginning Friday, November 2. As a reminder, iPhone XR pre-orders begin Friday, October 19 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time in the United States and more than 50 countries, with deliveries to customers and in-store availability beginning Friday, October 26.
The new iPhones can be ordered through Apple.com or purchased at an Apple Store or authorized resellers where available.

Because the XR becomes available for pre-Order this Friday, the XS & XS Max will fizzle-out in ALL of those "additional countries" that it hasn't yet been available !

I wanted to like the iPhone but there are still some stupid os limitations that just dont make sense. like why is the notification center just the lock screen pulled down? its ugly... I work a job that requires a lot of number input so the lack of number row is really making the iPhone hard to use. Why cant it have the flick key keyboard from the ipad?? and the XS max does nothing to take advantage of the extra real estate it just makes everything bigger... the DPI is so off and some apps are just ugly because of it. I hope they can fix some of this stuff however the Notification center and keyboard have sucked for decades so I dont think they can just fix it now.
