My iPhone XS that I’ve had since launch day last year is already at 89% battery health. Is this normal? If I bring it to Apple will they do anything about it? I normally charge at night on a wireless charger.

Launch XS Max on 92% here also largely used with wireless charger. Thinking it may be the heat from the wireless charging, offsetting any benefits seen through charging it 'more slowly'.

My launch day X was at 89% a year after release. How fast do your iPhone deplete during a typical day for you? Do you have to charge several times a day?

I know you asked about an XS. But I have an X and it tanked fast to 89% and then just quit going down. I'm not sure when it will down again but it has been at 89% for a really long time. I have heard Apple won't replace unless it goes before 79%. Not sure if that is true or not.

I decided to stop worrying about battery health. My XS is at 92% after 10 months, but my phone is working just fine. I can’t tell any difference in performance from when I first got it. Unless it drops below 80% or you notice significant performance decline, then don’t worry about battery health. Apple won’t do anything if it’s 80% or above. I used to check it regularly but decided to quit looking at. If your phone works fine, who cares what the battery health is. Also, from what I have read it’s not completely accurate anyway.

I think they should hide this 'feature' as it's just freaking people out. Perhaps only show when it's nearing the cut off where performance will be reduced.

How much do you have remaining, on the average, when at end of the day and put on the charger?

How many hours a day do you use your phone. There’s no way a heavy user can still be at 100 after almost a year.

I agree, but my last two new iPhones did the same. When I put my phone on the charger before bedtime, it usually has about 40-50% remaining. I do not consider myself a heavy user, somewhere in the average user range.

I’ve mentioned this in two threads now, but, after a restore my launch Xs went from 93% back to 95%.

The battery health reading is not very accurate. :)

Was a bit of a hassle to erase all content and settings but it’s given me a better reading of what my battery is up to. I think the software may improve with ios 13 hopefully.
