iPhone XS iPhone XS Low light painting effect

Hi,
Is it me or the XS is overprocessing the noise reduction in indoors, leaving a paint like effect on the pictures ?
That really disgusting.
Have a look on the attached pics (anonymised sorry)
Check the hair and shirt details...awfull :-(
I didn't have this issue with the X or at least not so pronounced.

yea it seems to make things smoother than previous years. im not too sure I like it either. There should be options to adjustment in real time for these phones. Besides third party apps. Im going to try out Camera+ and see if I can make any adjustments for better low light pictures.
