I don't get it. They showcased in the keynote how every new iPhone X has the same-or-larger display than Plus-sized iPhones, yet none of the new iPhones have landscape in their homescreen?

Landscape mode was cool when it first came out on the plus... but I had been click the lock screen o button when ever I tried to read something on my bed on one side.

I absolutely hate landscape home screen on Plus sized iPhones. The animation is too slow and it is often in the wrong orientation. And it's absolutely annoying when you are using the phone lying down.

I am glad to see it gone.

I agree I’m pissed

Can someone please link to source? I’ve been combing through hands-on videos and haven’t been able to confirm

edit: unfortunately I found one. Around 1:15 or so, demonstrates the landscape Apple apps, and home screen is still in portrait mode (no personal affiliation to Bloomberg) - what a letdown. I was hoping to mitigate some disdain for the iPad Mini’s demise with a large-screen iPhone capable of, at least minimal, “continuous” landscape usage.
