Does it happen to anyone else?? My iPhone XS Max camera lens cover got cracked without being into any accident.

My daughter’s xs max had a hairline crack on the camera. Hairline crack, she claimed to not have dropped it. Took it to Apple and had to pay the $99 to replace.

The camera hump is super vulnerable. Easy to crack/break and doesn’t take a drop or fall to crack the lens glass. Even putting the max down (case-less) on a surface, table etc, with any unintentional force has potential to crack that glass.

‘If it all works okay you should consider using a camera lens protector. I have one on mine and while not super strong looking it does appear to offer some impact protection as well as preventing scratches on the lens glass. Also a case with raised lip in the right places would help & even prevent further damage to your already cracked glass

Nice one! I am thinking of getting this for my XS Max to, even though my case has an adequate lip, I’d feel better with a protector on the lense.

Yeah. This case (in pic) has a decent depth around the lens and allows me some confidence when placing the phone down that I’m not walloping the camera glass. Also the ring, although a bit unsightly is a bonus. Tbh, I got the lens protector to stop scratches. My last Phone camera ended up heavily scratched up.
