I have been thinking about buying myself a new iPhone XS Max recently as my current one has some damage so was going to buy a new one from Apple however just looking on eBay found one for a great price which is sealed, it’s locked to EE and I have checked the serial number and hasn’t been activated. However as advised in the past to be careful on eBay, does this sound dodgy or legit if it’s sealed? Thanks

I’ve bought loads of phones off eBay and never had a problem. Just make sure there feedback 100% there a regular user and always pay by PayPal then your covered for 90 days. I bought a brand new iPhone 8 Plus on EE from eBay and its been fine.

Thanks for your reply, I looked at their feedback it’s 100% and have 478 feedback score, they have sold other iPhones in the past and have received positive feedback for them. Thanks again

You could always post a link for others to look at the phone listing. But also make sure there’s lots of photos if applicable, and ask questions if you have them before you make the purchase, and a responsible seller usually responds in a reasonable amount of time.

I just bought it, messaged the seller asking to see a receipt and they sent me a message back around 10 minutes later with a photo of a receipt from EE for the phone so I figured I’d buy it, got it for £875. 64gb space grey I currently have gold so thought it would be nice to have a change and I have 30 days ebay buyer protection as well as PayPal 180 days protection. Thanks for your help
