iPhone X iPhone XS Max Sim Card Tray Upside down?

I'm sure this has been addressed but I noticed the Sim Card goes in upside down on the XS Max. Wonder why that is... any one know what caused it to be flipped when they've always gone in the same way before?

My guess is that the upper side is where they put the e sim at, and for the Chinese market it’s where the other slot is

The guy at apple told me it was because of the dual SIM.
