iPhone XS Max iPhone XS Max won’t charge when off

if I turn my phone off, many times it will not charge. I’m on 12.1. I think I heard this being a problem on 12.0. Anyone run into this on 12.1?

No -- that is not an issue for me.

Not an issue for me either. If I turn my MAX off after placing on the charger, it charges to 100% by in the morning.

The only time I've had problems with recent iOS updates is if I use non-apple cables. They work sometimes....not all the time. It did not matter in the past, but it does seem much worse with 12.0+.
