I watched the keynote (albeit with a few distractions) however I failed to notice any major differences between the XS and the XS Max. Other than the obvious screen size and battery life, was there anything mentioned in the keynote or on their site (which I didn't see) that is different? Typically the 'plus' model has some feature set that is NOT available in the non-plus. Didn't seem to see that this announcement...?

Thanks!

I saw no differentiation other than what you mentioned. I thought maybe something would be different with the camera again, but nothing. Oh, price :D

I had some distractions while watching the keynote too... did they point out any ios or app differences with the bigger screen? ie, is there advanced multitasking on the bigger screen or will apps display more information? or will interface elements just be larger (I assume some of that is at the discretion of developers). I'm wondering if there will be an interface difference like there was between the ipad mini and larger ipads... the larger ipad allowed side by side app usage when the mini didn't.

canada cellphone carriers should bring back the 3 years contract so that you can pay less

No major differences, unless you consider landscape mode major.

Why is everyone so excited for XS Max? It's big to hold, not an easy for pockets, while talking it looks big.

Sure it has bigger screen app advantage, more screen for videos & photos etc.

But still I want to know from others. I'm very confused between iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. Price is not the problem, it's just the size.

It's little crazy because I've used iPhone 7+ and iPhone X, which is making it very tough for me to decide which one should I go for.

The size of the XS Max, physically, is the same size as any of the previous plus phones. So if you didn't have a problem with a Plus model in the past, you won't with the Max. The only change is since the screen is 'edge-to-edge' one hand operation using control center or notifications will require the use of reachability.

My personal phone is a 7+ and I have a 6s for a work phone.. The width of the non-plus is a downside to me. I like the wider keyboard for texting! I was trying to convince myself I wouldn’t buy the larger phone, but when it came to ordering, I just couldn’t resist. I don’t think I can go back to the smaller form factor now. It feels tiny! I would love to more easily be able to text/navigate with one hand in those situations where I don’t have a second to use, but that’s fairly rare and after using a plus size for 4 years, I’ve adapted.

I like how Apple made both the regular and plus size phones with the same cameras and features this year. I prefer a smaller phone for portability. I have an iPad and MacBook for larger screens when I need them. My wife carries the plus sizes but she has a purse to carry it in. I prefer to just slide the iPhone into my shirt pocket. I believe the Xs will be perfect for me, bigger screen but not much bigger than my 7.

Yea, I don't get why everyone is stupid excited about the Max either, I think the X size is perfect, and since I don't typically use my phone in landscape mode, don't watch movies on it, or play many games in landscape mode, I opted for the Xs even though I've had the plus phones in the past and I have huge hands capable enough to navigate the Max with one hand. I just figured I'm in front of my computer with two screens all day, have my 12.9 iPad Pro next to me playing some Netflix white noise TV, Apple Watch on my wrist (new 44mm incoming), I don't need the bigger screen this time.

This! I'm so glad Apple did this as well. If the features would've been better on the Max like they've done in past with Plus models, it would've forced my hand to go Max when I wanted to stay normal screen size with the Xs this time. I think the X was the perfect device and even in it's time, the best device Apple has ever offered for that tech moment, it did everything well.
