Maybe I'm just late to the party on this one. I updated my iPhone's firmware to the current just a few weeks ago. I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else on MacRumors, so I'll mention it here.

I was taking a picture of something today, and I tapped the screen to get the little blue box that focuses on an item. When I did that, a slider showed up with a Plus and a Minus sign. It was a slider for zooming in.

This is the first I've seen or heard of an iPhone4 zoom feature!

It works really well, I'm pleasantly surprised by this feature which I've always felt was needed.

It's not an iPhone 4 feature, it's an iOS 4 feature, and it's been there since June.

I was surprised when I saw this feature on my i3G. I wish the volume keys would control it instead of the touchscreen control of it.

Just be aware that it's a digital zoom and not a real zoom from the camera lenses.
