Iphone4 Sim in the iPhone 5?

Guessing I would be able to put my sim from my iPhone 4 Into the 5 when it comes out? Or do you think the sim will be different?

As they went from a regular SIM to a micro SIM in move from 3GS to 4, I doubt they will modify it further. However, this IS Apple we are talking about, so anything is possible.

I want to buy the 5 while already being in contract for another year. Will I be able to use the 5 if the sim is different?

I think if you buy the iPhone 5 for full price (not on contract) you would still continue with the old contract.

Apple wouldn't... if anything they would port your number to the new sim, therefore, preserving your contract.

Why would one make such a random guess?

Then ask others that haven't seen the new model either?

I agree that given the change already, it wouldn't be ideal to move down again to another SIM, however, moving to no SIM could be the next step. Remember that patent which Apple applied for and were granted?
