IPhone4 Stuck on ITunes connect screen during update

During the update, Itunes had an Error and therefore just closed, however, my Iphone just stopped and went to the screen showing it, the wire to connect to a USB to connect to ITunes. But whenever I connect to Itunes, it does not connect/ show up, it does not find anything. I have tried Hard Reseting it 500 times, still has not worked!!! I am not sure what the Error code was but now I am stuck without a phone.

I have a iphone 4 and was trying to update to os5..

Help please!!!!

Put the phone into DFU mode, iTunes will recognize it and allow it to restore.
