Hi all,

I just got a new iPhone 4:apple: and I reset all the setting in the phone to make it have just factory settings. I know stupid I should have just done a restore through iTunes!!😡 Anyway its been over a hour and all I see is the spinning wheel in the middle of a black screen... think that's called the SWOD?

Is there any way I can get this to boot? Im not sure whats going on... any help would be great, I am lost here.

Please someone help me out, il be so thankful🙂

hold home & power for 10 seconds, it'll go black, then boot like normal. called a hard reboot. if that doesnt work look up DFU mode and that *****.

solution

None of the software resets worked for me. But, on the iphone 4 disconnecting the battery is easy (ish) There are some simple vids on how to do it. I just disconnected the battery for a minute, reconnected and it rebooted to the apple logo. Luckily mine rebooted fully and worked fine, but I imagine you can also boot to dfu from there as well.
