iPhone4 thinks it's only 14GB, What does urs say?
It's telling you the "Capacity" not the model.
Same. I'm guessing that's the formatted size which is normal.
I was a little frustrated since my iPhone 3G was at 15.26 GB, but i guess that tells you iOS 4 is a big firmware
iFixit says: "We'd expect our 32 GB iPhone 4 to fulfill its promise and give us, well, 32 GB. Unfortunately it has an actual capacity of 29.06 GB."
This has always been the case with any device from Apple like an iPod or iPhone. Some of that capacity is taken up by the OS and other things. Also depends on how Apple counts their bytes.
This is nothing new. The operating system takes up disk space, obviously
pretty much the same as if you bought an internal harddrive at 80GB for your PC, installed all your OS and the total size shown would actualy be less then 80. it sucks but its normal.
is this a joke or what? i assume OP never used a computer before........
