iPhone5s fingerptont entry

I have had an iPhone5s for 5 months. The fingerprint opener of the iPhone now is sporadic and at least 1 in 2 times does not respond and switches to password to open iPhone.

Question is; is there any way to get the fingerprint entry to be more sensitive?

I have read some have had success just entering the same finger twice as if they were two separate fingers.

Problem solved with the latest update from Apple to iOS 7, yesterday 10/March/2014
