Ok let me start by apologizing for the long post. I love Apple. I've had an iPhone since the 3GS. This is my first ever serious issue . So about a week ago I upgraded to iOS 10.1. It could be a coincidence but since then my phone has been acting weird with the cell service. It either says no signal, says searching , or shows me with signal but nothing loads , no SMS , no phone calls unless I'm on wifi calling. It works rarely , if I'm near the t mobile store usually , and I mean like in the shopping center . I've been through the gamut with t mobile and Apple with troubleshooting . SIM card was replaced with a new one, phone was upgraded to iOS 10.1.1. T-Mobile software is on current version. Phone has been network reset , hard reset, iTunes restored , etc . Both sides seem to blame each other yet Apple said they were aware of the issue but usually the troubleshooting fixed the issue. I took the phone to an Apple specialist in my town, he ran a diagnostic , the phone passed and he said he thought the issue was with t mobile , however my service worked fine up until a week ago. I use to listen to Apple Music in my car , have service all over town. Also my friend has exact same phone with T-Mobile and, side by side, his phone is fine. Apples options were to do an express return , sounded great except they wanted to put a hold on my card for the cost of the iphone . I realize they will remove the hold but I don't have that kind of money in my account to cover a hold . Other was to send my phone in for repair and be without a phone a while . I didn't want to do that . The Apple Store is out of my way. Now after being frustrated with a phone that gets little to no service I broke down and sent my phone into Apple . So I'll be without a phone a week or more . I'm worried they won't see the issue on their end and send it back with the same issue. Again I just don't know what to think , it's been a frustrating week to say the least. I've had the phone just a little over a month , no other issues , no damage
