Ok let me start by apologizing for the long post. I love Apple. I've had an iPhone since the 3GS. This is my first ever serious issue . So about a week ago I upgraded to iOS 10.1. It could be a coincidence but since then my phone has been acting weird with the cell service. It either says no signal, says searching , or shows me with signal but nothing loads , no SMS , no phone calls unless I'm on wifi calling. It works rarely , if I'm near the t mobile store usually , and I mean like in the shopping center . I've been through the gamut with t mobile and Apple with troubleshooting . SIM card was replaced with a new one, phone was upgraded to iOS 10.1.1. T-Mobile software is on current version. Phone has been network reset , hard reset, iTunes restored , etc . Both sides seem to blame each other yet Apple said they were aware of the issue but usually the troubleshooting fixed the issue. I took the phone to an Apple specialist in my town, he ran a diagnostic , the phone passed and he said he thought the issue was with t mobile , however my service worked fine up until a week ago. I use to listen to Apple Music in my car , have service all over town. Also my friend has exact same phone with T-Mobile and, side by side, his phone is fine. Apples options were to do an express return , sounded great except they wanted to put a hold on my card for the cost of the iphone . I realize they will remove the hold but I don't have that kind of money in my account to cover a hold . Other was to send my phone in for repair and be without a phone a while . I didn't want to do that . The Apple Store is out of my way. Now after being frustrated with a phone that gets little to no service I broke down and sent my phone into Apple . So I'll be without a phone a week or more . I'm worried they won't see the issue on their end and send it back with the same issue. Again I just don't know what to think , it's been a frustrating week to say the least. I've had the phone just a little over a month , no other issues , no damage

I have the same ' No Service ' issue on my Sim free 7 Plus with TMobile! The new LG V20 works perfectly fine in the same areas!

Issue was on 10.1.1 and persists on 10.2 Beta 1

Will go see Apple next week.

Looking forward to reading an update from you as well!

Not much you can do besides getting it replaced.
See if you can use someone card that has enough available credit to cover the temporary hold so you dont get stuck waiting with no phone.
I updated both our 7 Plus devices to 10.1.1 with no signal issues.

I've already sent my phone into Apple for repair . I just hope they don't send the phone back with the same issue and say they didn't see the problem

My phone is currently in "diagnosing product" stage . I don't expect that to change till Monday at the earliest . If it turns into "no issue found " I'll probably flip my lid lol

iPhone 7plus SIM unlocked, no problem here. I had the problem you described with iPad 9.7 pro and Att couple months ago. The solution was to replace it.

. I don't even know what that means, if it's fixed or not

Just updating this thread for sake of anyone who might have the same issue . Apple did indeed send me back the same phone with the same issue . So I went back to T-Mobile to tell them . Lady I spoke to was rude and said it was the phone and not them . Just got off the phone with apple , this guy says he wants to ensure I get a new phone and wants me to send it through repair again . He's supposed to personally call me tomorrow after work since their system is down tonight
