    Hi all!

I am moving to Spain this summer, and I will be there for a year. I currently have an iPhone 3G, and I don't want to have to buy another phone in Spain. I know that it's possible to unlock iPhones for overseas use, but how does that work?? Would/Can I use a prepaid SIM card after unlocking it? Would it maintain all of it's functionality?

Sorry if this question has been asked before, but thanks in advance for your help!!

    Jailbreak/unlock

easiest is to jailbreak with redsn0w then unlock with blacksn0w

    here's the link for iclarified;http://www.iclarified.com/entries/index.php?caid=2&scid=11&seid=2

you can find the blacksn0w info on iclarified also

read it all a few times before attempting.... make sure you know what firmware your phone is running

Yes. Just unlock and pop in your SIM and you'll have a phone to use. Depending on the carrier, you may need to edit some of the network settings to get the data to work.
