True story... I went camping and rafting with a group of my friends a few years ago. One of them had a new pricey camera phone (when they had just hit the market). Not wanting to leave his phone behind in the car, my friend double-wrapped it with condoms, tied some knots, and placed it in vest's inside chest pocket. He went completely submerged in water a few times and showed no concern whatsoever.

I'd bet an iPhone can easily fit inside one - Magnums and non-lubricated, of course.

LOL, you planned this!
It just cannot be a coincidence!

I bet the touch screen still works. I've taken mine to rainy concerts sealed in a snack size baggie and still been quite able to manipulate the screen. I love the condom idea... I'll have to do that next time :)

Funny, I had a similar experience this weekend. I was at Disney California Adventure and was heading towards the river rapids ride. I realized my phone could get wet and trip the sensor so I wrapped it in 5 layers of paper towels. Sure enough I got soaked, but my phone was fine. I don't think I would have thought about the water sensor if it wasn't for this website.
