Shazam may be powered by Siri however when I use Siri by itself to identify the songs it fails to do so. However, In Shazam app it instantly works.
When I ask Siri "What song is this?" is that using the Shazam app, because I don't have that installed, and wouldn't have the "my Shazam tracks" playlist. There is a "Sync Shazams to Apple Music" option in the Shazam app. You then get a "My Shazam Tracks" playlist in Apple Music.
Issue until now was that songs recognized via the Control Center shortcut would not be included in that list. Glad that's finally getting fixed in iOS 16.
LOL. Apple would puke seeing this question still being asked so many years later. So do I have to download Shazam or is it built into iOS?
no it doesn't 😂I’m on iOS 15 and using control center syncs with Shazam app just fine.
if you are running a shortcut using an action from shazam, that should be syncing as the action is proved as an "in app intent" from the shazam app. or so I thought, i guess it could be an "intent" from the system shazam app, in which case the control center would be populated with the shortcuts findings. you might want to test that and give file feedback on what you find if weird!Been wondering about this for years. Seems insane that the only way to get the songs to sync are by opening the app up, which I don't always have time to do when you only get a few seconds to identify a song.
Now, if you do have time, opening the app up and having all your Shazams sync to an Apple Music playlist is awesome. Very glad this is finally working in iOS 16.
I also use the triple-tap accessibility feature... you tap the back of the iPhone three times and it runs a Shazam shortcut... I wonder if that will sync or not.
Same! 🤣Wow. Today I learned you can long press on the Shazam icon in control centre to see the history 🙄
