LOL! are you telling immigrants that come here and work hard and accrue wealth and are successful that they didn’t work hard?
Exactly the way Trumpists like to discuss; without any nuances at all.
Ofcourse they probably worked hard…but so did the ones who worked hard and did not acquire that wealth. You don’t believe they exist…people working hard and still not get wealthy. It’s simply their own fault, right? If life were only that simple!
make that make sense. tell generations upon generations of resourceful Americans they are just “lucky”… let me know how it goes. you see economics as zero sum game and think people who are winners all cheat because you can’t see how the math works. it must be someone else’s fault!

The massively ironic thing is that this is true for the overwhelming majority of hard workers. To say that so many people just screwed up, or still aren’t trying hard enough, is to ignore the fact that the system is fundamentally broken.

No. It's your own fault for being poor. People should just stop being poor as it doesn't seem to work for them. If only people would choose to be rich instead, they would have a better life. It's that simple.

LOL, and it is the rich’s fault for being rich? how dare you blame those poor people!
You LOL a lot…… it doesn't seem difficult to activate your sense of humor.
It's your system that enables people to own more than 100 /200 Billion $ or even more. And with the help of your orange dealmaker increase that sum. Simple solution to such perverse wealth…tax and then tax some more.
So, I blame your system, but especially your government! Business and businesses rules the USA. You must be one happy, proud US citizen.

Compensation hasn't matched production since the 70's.

If workers were paid the real value for their production instead of the Bezos and Musk of the world taking all the wealth. It's the rich's fault for stealing from their workers.

It is the fault of the rich for using their power (lobbying and bribes) and influence (press and media ownership) to secure governments sympathetic to their desire to accumulate all the wealth produced at the expense of those who generate it. Trickle down economics ALWAYS ensures that wealth flows upwards never to rain down on the poorest.

Tax cuts always somehow turn out to be regressive taxes, disproportionately favouring the higher earners and funded by the erosion of education and social and economic safety nets for the less well off.

I don’t think capitalism is inherently wrong; many “western” countries have this system. I would rather speak of American Capitalism, which is very different from, let’s say, German or French Capitalism. Also a reason why many Americans unjustly think of some other western countries as Socialistic (and also unjustly consider that pure evil). This is ofcourse totally inaccurate.
Yeah - I don't understand why so many Americans are against universal health systems, considering the number of bankruptcies that happen simply because of illness.

The level of capitalism in America is toxic. You shouldn't need to file for bankruptcy because you got cancer and didn't have good insurance. You shouldn't start your working life fresh out of college owing hundreds of thousands of dollars. Both of those examples will almost always favour the rich, because if you're rich, you can afford good health cover, and afford college fees.

Capitalism in and of itself isn't that bad... But globally it is moving into something no better than when most people were literally slaves (and I don't just mean Africans). We are heading clearly in the direction of the top 1/3 of people owning most of the wealth of the world, and the rest of us having to struggle just to eat and have a home over our heads.

That is not a fair system.

As for the dream that if you work hard, you too can join the rich elite - that's nothing but propaganda. Very few people who start life poor will die rich.

Yes, indeed - 1% own a massive chunk of America's wealth, but it extends further, with the next 19% owning a large chunk too, and ultimately, the vast majority of Americans get very little share of America's MASSIVE wealth.

But that's ok... they just need to work hard and they can be rich too.

Not far off launch day, no, and I use it a lot, every day. It looks too good to be true. Maybe it's showing an incorrect value. How could I test that? Perhaps I couldn't.
You could try coconutBattery if you have a Mac. It shows more accurate data about battery health. Let me know if there is a difference in what iOS reports and coconutBattery.

I’m glad our stuff is not too obsolete. Not spending discretionary funds period. It might start to get nasty out there in a couple of months. Gonna need every nickel we have. Hope I’m wrong.

we have that too,
So, poor Americans don’t work hard.

I’m sure poor Americans believe that too. They are obviously all just lazy.

And, your records of bankruptcy over medical bills are not something that occurred in countries like Australia, UK, Canada.

Wish I could be as blinkered as you.
