Hi, I had an important meeting yesterday. As usual, I depended on Map to give me direction. It could be that there is a bug in iOS 10. While I was supposed to walk south from the starting point, Map told me that the destination was North. I walked for about 45 minutes and when I was supposed to reach the destination, the pointer pointed to a large field. I asked people. They told me that I went to a completely wrong direction.

How come my iPhone gave me a completely wrong direction? Is it a bug with iOS 10?

Could be wrong location data. Could be something else. Usually might not be a bad idea to use another app like Google Maps to perhaps double-check on directions when dealing with a completely new area/location.

I'll just leave this here...

I don't quite remember but I think Google Map also gave the wrong information. Problem with GPS?

Bad luck OP.

I used to use copilot in android, not yet downloaded for iphone as i bought a 16GB and not enough room with my apps and photos etc.

Does sound like wrong data somewhere.

Hope you can sort this as it would drive me nuts.

I recall that when I checked the location at home using my MBP, it gave the correct location. However, when I used the iPhone, it was another story.

I got the location from a Meetup's event page. I recall clicking on the Map. Then, iPhone asked me if I wanted to use Map or Google Map. I used Map and it gave me the opposite direction. I think I also used Google Map and it gave me the wrong one as well. Sometimes the direction cursor also seemed to be confused by itself. It kept changing.
