iPhoto 08 feels very jerky

I just upgraded to iPhoto 08. All of the 5545 image in my 06 library are there but scrolling though the images feels jerky even when in the event view.

Anyone experienced the same problem?

Mine seem pretty good. Do you have any other PowerPC apps, drivers, or other processes running? Why not have a look in Activity Monitor. Make sure it's set to "all processes" and sort the "Kind" column to discover if you have any PowerPC stuff going on. That often slows things down.
