Hey guys, Im looking for a good iPhoto alternative. I was hoping for something free, but if it need to buy it, that would not be a problem. anyone have any ideas?

Maybe you could start by giving reasons you don't like iPhoto. That way, we'll know better what to recommend to you.

this app seems quite nice http://www.picturearena.com/index.php?&sid=3808529Gc9a3ed2736c9a573 its called picture arena, and you dont have to explain about iphoto, i think a lot of people understand.

A difference between iPhoto and Aperture that results in Aperture taking up "less" space than iPhoto is that when you edit photo's in iPhoto, the program creates a copy to edit, thus you have two copies of the same photo. Aperture doesn't physically edit the photo or even a copy of the photo. It just writes what you want to do to the photo and generates a preview of what it looks like, and in order to get the edited photo, you need to export it, therefore making a real copy of it.
