iPhoto: batch commenting?

Is there a way to simultaneously put comments on a batch of pictures?

Not at the mac right now, so can't check to be sure, but have you looked under "Photo" on the menubar and clicked on "batch change"? There are several options in there, but I'm not sure about "comments". Worth a look!

Yep, that works. The coolest thing about that feature is that you can append to existing comments. So you could select all your Rome pictures and add a "Rome" comment. Then you could select subsets of that and add "Capitoline Museum," "Piazza Navona," and so on, and the original "Rome" comment is still on all of the photos.
