iPhoto blank pics

Hi everyone....
could someone please help me figure out what's going on.....I am running iPhoto 08 STILL, yes believe it, you read it correctly, iPhoto 08 and as I try to browse pics or anything, there are some pics that just show up with empty boxes where the pics are supposed to be...I've included a screenshot in case I"m not explaining it clear enough.
