iPhoto edit photo's and google photo's

Hi,

After my holiday trip Google synced nicely all my pictures from iPhoto to Google Photo's. (In fact, its still uploading all the pictures.)

While it was syncing I was cropping and adjusting the photo's directly in iPhoto on my mac.

I can't see these changes (yet) in Google Photo's. Doesn't Google Photo's adopt these changes? Do i need to start over editing these pictures but use Google's editor? Or do i have to be just patient ...
