iPhoto freeze after update

iPhoto either freezes or runs extremely sluggish since updating to 10.8.2 yesterday. Is anyone else experiencing this? I usually get stuck with a pinwheel and have to force quit. First time I've had trouble since getting this iMac.

For the record its a 2011 iMac i5 with 12 gb RAM
