hi everytime i open iphoto to import or just to browse my pics i get : "The movie “V271108_15.24.3gp” could not be opened, because the original item cannot be found." message and when i press cancel it freezes up the iphoto application so i have to force quit...
what or how can i stop iphoto searching for this file?

thanks

Close iPhoto. Copy the ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iphoto.plist file to the Desktop and then delete the plist in Preferences. Restart iPhoto.

It sounds like iPhoto is trying to import a file over and over again. Although I wouldn't normally recommend it, if you feel up to it, I suggest selecting Open Package Contents when right-clicking your iPhoto Library in ~/Pictures and removing what is in the Auto Import and/or Import folders. Only after removing the contents of those folders should you attempt to relaunch iPhoto.
