I dont know where you got that from, but iphoto doesnt have an "originals" folder. I searched every where for it, spotlight, i photo, it doesnt exist.
I know "Aperture" has a masters folder-perhaps you are referring to that?
 
There is very definitely an originals folder. You can also "revert to original" under the Photos menu at any time and get the original, unmodified photo back.

If you don't believe me, see the attached image of it.

Burned photos from iPhoto '08 to transfer to another Mac with iPhoto '07 - can't open

I burned photos from iPhoto '08 to CD so I could transfer them to another Mac with iPhoto '07 - but iPhoto '07 says it can't open the pictures.

Is there any way to actually save the photos to a iPhoto '07 format (like how MS Word allows you to save documents for use in older versions of word).

I'm stuck - any help would be appreciated.

I realized that upgrading the other mac to iLife'08 would solve the problem - but it isn't my mac.
