iphoto import from outside camera roll

Is this possible?

I cannot see how to import anything outside of camera roll.

My fiancee has albums she created on old laptop and imported to iphone.
Now she has a mac laptop how do we get the photos into iphoto to back them up etc?

the old laptop is dead so cannot get photos out of it

To back up an iPhone, plug it into a mac and use iTunes to make a backup.

(now that you have them backed up ...)

I believe iCloud and PhotoStream may be your options here.

Sorted it.

downloaded SyncIOS.
it allows me to add and remove photos and music without using iTunes.
