iPhoto Library and Target Disk Mode

I'm trying to transfer an iPhoto Library on Computer 1 to a USB 3 Hard Drive on Computer 2 (Computer 1 Does not have USB 3.0 Port) using Target Disk Mode and Thunderbolt. The size of the Library is 46 GB and the estimated time is about 15 hours...


Should I be concerned? Is there a faster method?

UPDATE: the time keeps on going up...
