Hi I have messed around ...too much... with my library I have now managed to have multiple copies of all my photos 4500 in total. How and what is the fastest way to get rid of multiple photos and how do I delete the library and start again Cheers

You could try playing with some of iPhoto's hidden tools. (load the app then IMMEDIATELY press and hold Apple+Option... it will give you options to rebuild the library and such) You might have some luck with that... although I doubt it.

You might need to search around for an AppleScript that will ditch photos with the same exact date on them or something.

Thanks Smash not sure where to start finding an apple script that you mention any ideas / Cheers

Go and have a look through the discussion boards on apple.com under support.

There's an iPhoto 4 and 5 board which have lots of help on problems with links to scriptos. You may find your answer there.
