I spoofed my firmware version to 5.1 on my 4S but when I synced it with my laptop it asked me to authorize my laptop so it can download iPhoto or else it would be deleted from my phone. I kept putting my Apple ID and password but after I press Authorize it would just ask me to do it again and again so I pressed Don't Authorize and now it deleted it from my phone. Is this because iTunes can still tell that my 4S isn't actually on 5.1?

I remember having this issue also awhile ago. I can't remember if or how I fixed it. I'll try syncing with iTunes tonight to see if I have any issues. You could also try to deauthorize that computer and reauthorize it.

Works fine on my iPad 2. I mentioned that updating library thing earlier in this thread. I figured it would take longer depending on how many photos you have. I have over 1,000 right now and it took a few minutes to complete.

I got this fixed :)
This is coz u've checked 'sync apps' .. jus uncheck that option and click on keep apps and your sync would be complete.
However theres a drawback that u can't put other apps from the pc but atleast you can install new ones via installous :)

WARNING: Don't fool your system into thinking it is 5.1. Cydia will believe it too, and uninstall Corona Untether, leaving your system unbootable.

It is possible to modify the app to make it claim to work on 5.0. I saw it on another thread but can't find it now.

I agree. I did it with mine and came darn close to hosing my jailbreak. I had lost access to the app store and cydia (had I loaded it again). I ended up fixing it by replacing the file I edited.

Even of you get it working, it's not worth it as the app needs 5.1 to work properly and it will crash from time to time or if you use certain features.

iphoto5 does not SAVE

Iphoto 5 mac osx 10.4 – Does not accept any new photos, doesn’t hold keywords, doesn’t trash photos, etc. Appears my requests are happening but when I restart iphoto, none of the changes have taken place. Have done a rebuild, but it did not solve the problem.

The problem started when I inserted a memory card (not mine) and iphoto tried to read it but couldn’t. I tried again. No luck. But this caused the last roll that iPhoto had accepted to disappear and from then on no changes were saved. Seems everything is working except saving any new information. It’s stuck in one place.

So I created a new library and now both libraries show they are empty, but I see the photos are there, but I can’t access them.

What’s my next move? Rebuild and new library didn’t work.

maybe post it in the OSX section instead of the iOS jailbreak section??

I didn't have to. I downloaded the app, then installed the tweak and it worked fine. Didn't have to edit the plist.

Lolz. How typical of Apple. They set the deployment target to as high as possible - without actually using any new API calls of the minimum OS version. I wonder if the new, iOS6+ only version of their entertainment suite (iPhoto etc.) uses iOS6+ only features. I bet it doesn't.

This is plain greed and intentionally screwing up customers by phasing out "old" and "outdated" hardware (in this case, the iPad 1 and the 3rd-gen iPod touch), while the apps could run on these models just fine with a ower deployment target. Probably the worst thing I hate in Apple.
