I took a Free Trial of .Mac which will last for 60 days. After getting my trial account, I logged in .Mac through System Preferences. It said that the password was validated (I assumed it means I'm logged in?)

So now the Photocast button in the iPhoto is enabled. I selected a folder and pressed the Photocast button. It pormpted me what the photo size will be, I selected Actual Size. I enabled the Automatic Update and unchecked the Require Username and Password.

But after clicking the Publish button, it said that "There was a problem connecting to .Mac". Then nothing happens.

I'm using Mac OSX 10.4.7 and iPhoto 6.

Since I can log in using my .Mac account in the System Preferences, then I don't think this is a network problem. Any reason why I can't Publish a Photocast?? I tried logging in .Mac again, surfed the web a bit, played with the Publish Settings, but yields to the same result.

Please help~ (TT^TT) *sniff sob*

I don't think Photocasting works with the trial accounts, sorry.

Is there any way I can see what the Free Trial offers as compared to the Full Membership?

Because I can't find any mention of not being able to use Photocasting in Free Trials.

IMPORTANT: To publish photos to subscribers, you must be using iPhoto 6.0 or later and have a .Mac membership. However, a .Mac membership is not required to subscribe to a photocast.

I read that in the Help section... I figured that a 60-day trial is the same as the Membership, only, it is time-limited.

I didn't know some features would be disabled as well.... I wish they have been more clearer... *sigh*

Now what....?

"Some features of .Mac may not be available in the "trial" version, or the functionality of available features in the "trial" version may be limited."

Yes... it's terribly not specific... huhuhu~

I guess that's it then. I can't Photocast with a Free Trial... *cries and throws tantrum*
