When I try to open iPhoto, I get the following error message:

The iPhoto Library is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have permission to make changes to it. iPhoto can try to repair the permissions.

how can I fix this?

I have the same problem. I can add myself and make it read & write but "everyone" is locked to read only and the only other option is "no access."

Edit: Figured out my problem. I had tried making a copy of a library in the shared folder. Apparently iPhoto doesn't play nice with multiple users yet. BOOOO.
