iPhoto question

When I used to import pictures from my camera to iPhoto, there used to be a
window that would pop up asking if I wanted a duplicate picture. It doesn't happen anymore. Is there a way to get this preference back. Thanks

It still comes up when i plug in my camera, if i choose not to have the memory card deleted. But, i am not sure about the setting to turn it on, or off, you might want to check out the Prefrences.
