Since I got good advice about iCal and I figured out how to add files to the iTunes library without copying them, I wanted to ask the same of iPhoto.

I have a photo collection from various sources (email, digital camera, scanner). All were organized on my PC either by category or by date. Importing from my camera, the canon software saved in folders by date.

Is there a way to have iPhoto add to the library without copying? And What about my digital camera?

Also, when viewing a smaller photo, is there a way to keep iPhoto from resizing it to fit the screen?

I think you pretty much have to go with iPhoto's organizational system -- that's the way it works. Personally I find this a superior way of keeping track of my photos, but I suppose it's a matter of personal preference. If you don't like iPhoto's organization system, why would you use it?

You can control-click a photo to edit in a separate window; then it will appear at its actual size.
