I had renamed a bunch of videos before importing them into iPhoto. Unfortunately iPhoto uses the date modified as the date instead of what makes sense... The date created. So now all the videos appear to be taken on the same day.

I can change all the dates while in iPhoto, but I have many many videos and that would be a huge pain. There has to be a way to get iPhoto to use creation date instead of modified date. It just doesn't make sense that iPhoto would do this. Any suggestions?

Okay I solved it. For those that are interested, I had to change the modified date to creation date. I used a program called A Better Finder:

I made a droplet that copies creation date to modified date. Then I re-imported into iphoto and it sorted correctly.
